칸트 미학과 프로이트-라캉주의 정신분석을 경유하여 감정과 정동 연구를 하고 있다. 독일근대미학과 현대프랑스철학을 잇는 작업을 하고 있으며 페미니즘, 섹슈얼리티, 퀴어이론, 문화이론, 신경미학이
주요 관심이다.

Namyi Kim focuses on affect and emotion with Kant, German aesthetics and Freudian-Lacanian psychoanalysis. She is currently working on the connection between modern German aesthetics and comtemporary French philosophy in relation to feminism, sexuality, queer theory, cultural theory, and neuroaesthetics.
